| - HORRIBLE experience with this doctor and practice
basically just a doctor who refers you to other doctors
referrals upon referrals upon referrals
if this is what you are looking for and don't need a doctor who actually listens to you or helps you with your health issues or concerns - perhaps this is the place for you
nepotism reigns supreme here
the front desk "gatekeeper" MANNY - IS BEYOND HORRENDOUS - he is RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, NASTY, SNARKY and does not understand the concept of HIPAA law - he blurts out patient names, social security #, diagnosis, tests, personal details, etc - AT FULL VOLUME to the ENTIRE waiting room
apparently no one has ever informed him that people's healthcare as well as their name, address, social, phone number, diagnoses, etc - ARE PERSONAL - and not to be shared with the entire world - hence why they are protected by federal law - HIPAA - i am shocked he has not been reported and this practice hasn't - IT IS THAT BAD
his demeanor is BEYOND unprofessional
i cannot believe this physician lets him represent her and her practice - i don't care if he is a family member - he obviously uses this fact to his full advantage and does not value the job he is doing, or the patients of the practice who are in fact - paying his salary
you would think a "smart" and educated physician would know when to cut their losses and do something about the elephant at the front desk ruining her practice
I GUESS NOT
i saw Dr Pingol many times for a long time - and really liked her initially - but she just constantly referred me to other doctors - never stopping to help me herself with what she could or really listening to me or my health concerns - they do not even pay attention to who they are referring you to - or if they are covered by your insurance - if you call to let them know - they say they don't refer to anyone else (really? i think not - just laziness)
i received many calls from the practice where someone hung up and did not leave a message - (professional!) so i called to see what was going on and who had called me - i got a nasty rude call back from billing - i do not know her name - but she was black and ghetto - she said she is the one who called me, my insurance had not paid and i "needed to do something about it"
well my insurance paid every other doctor in town i went to, so obviously there was a problem with her and her billing abilities - i do not appreciate being screamed at by someone who is ghetto and rude - and on top of it - for her mistakes - not mine
when i called to change my upcoming appointment - i was put on the phone with MANNY who told me (laughing) "well you've been discharged by our practice, you're no longer our patient, so you won't be coming" I WAS SHOCKED
i have never been "discharged" by a practice in my life - and apparently i was "discharged" by this one because of the billing lady WHO SCREAMED AT ME - not the other way around
guess what - in the end - OF COURSE my insurance paid - i have the best insurance there is - and they ALWAYS pay
so i was treated like crap by the billing idiot and by Manny - the worst person to represent a practice ever - and i am the one who was punished!
WHAT KIND OF DOCTOR OR PRACTICE DOES THIS!!!!!!!!!

it is very obvious either Dr Pingol does not know any of these things and is not aware of the way the patients are dealt with, spoken to, and compromised by her staff
OR she DOES KNOW and doesn't care
it's one or the other
but even if there are one or two patients who are treated this way - shouldn't she evaluate her staff and "family member" (Manny) and decide what matters more - the patients who are keeping her practice going - or the staff who are driving them away in droves???
DR PINGOL - FOR YOUR PRACTICE AND ALL FUTURE PATIENTS - PLEASE FIX THIS
