This was a cool experience but I don't think I'll be horseback riding again for a long time.. My friend purchased the tickets for our group beforehand so it was hassle-free for us. The workers don't explain in too much detail on how to ride the horse because it's pretty simple. They just simply explain to pull the reins to stop and how to steer right and left.
We did the 2 hour tour and to be honest, we were all over it and ready to end the riding after about 30 minutes. But since we were going to ride for 2 hours, we just carried on. The desert scenery is nice but its very repetetive. My horse, Blue, was a little bit of a bully. Blue kicked the horse behind me and also bit the neck of the horse in front of me when we all stopped and Blue decided to quickly pass him in line. It was a little bit humorous at first since these two incidents were with friends in my group, but we later realized it couldve been dangerous if the horses had fought.
My entire group and I werent used to the pain in the buttocks from sitting and balancing on the horse for too long, so you'll probably be a little bit sore also if you're not a cowboy or cowgirl!
