  • This hotel markets itself as the #1 LUXURY hotel in Las Vegas and the top five in the world. At $500 for a run of the house room, you expect to get what you're paying for. So keeping this in mind you go into this hotel with some expecations. And YES while the hotel is very, very beautiful, its based off an Italian "feminine" luxury design. Not my cup of tea. But here is what you need to know: 1) Terrible Customer Service 2) Terrible Casino Service 3) Terrible Gambling Odds with high Minimums and shuffling machines 3) No prices in most stores and resturants Inheritance brats and trust funders could care less. However for those of us who EARNED our incomes from $0 we know the value of money. We KNOW we are getting ripped off. $1,200 bottle for Opus wine I can get online for $100 bottle. $32.00 for cigarellos - $5.00 online. $25.00 for a tiny little cup of chopped peppers. $16 for 1 shot of Costco Malibu rum at the bar. On top of this - you are charged for every single little thing. They play these little manipulative tricks and games all over the hotel - it's "institutionalized" into the experience - if that makes sense; to get your money by cutting corners and ripping you off but thinking you are too stupid to notice.. True LUXURY hotels and resorts do not do this. The room is IKEA ON STERIODS. Vintage Made in China everything. The bed was SAGGY. The carpet was CHEAP. The flat screen TV was SMALL. The placement of the lights were off. I could build the bathroom in my home myself with $3,000 (or less) of materials from Home Depot. F that room. Ripoff! I'm being honest when I say I would never stay at the Bellagio again - not even for $29 per night. You have to keep in mind - this hotel markets itself as the #1 Luxury Hotel in Vegas. Top five in the world. The lobby - YES. The room NO. Service is lousy. Prices are high. Do these people need a job or not? Oh, and every time you go back to your room, you are insulted by a secutiry guard asking for your room key. there is a LINE of people waiting and the guard is asking for everyones room key. Perhaps you should install quality LOCKS on the doors. All the have is a standard hotel lock with a latch! There is no second bolt lock on the door. Just a cheap latch. Their systems were down. And they could not find my booking. But they had plenty of vacancy! Even still - the managers refused to book me because it was manual and "too much work". It was only at the insistence of a nice girl at the front desk who could see they were being lazy and pushed over them - that I was booked. Otherwise I would had to stay elsewhere and pay $$$$$$ for last minute check in. The guy is like "Uhhhhhh You should go to Planet Hollywood Uhhhhhh". Planet Hollywood? Give me my room key! Not my problem your Bellagios computer systems are down. I booked. Your computer systems bungled it. NOT MY PROBLEM. Re-book it manually Mr. Lazy. Also if you have an M-LIFE card - it will not tie into thier system for comps. I would strongly advise anyone coming to Las Vegas thinking they will spend a little more to get a 1% luxury feel - do not come to Bellagio. You will be far better off at the other casinos! Never again !
