This company compelled me to write my very first yelp review due to how bad their services were. I contacted E & J to have them come out and look at my washing machine in one of my rental properties that had been having some issues. After they came to my property, they said it was a relatively easy fix and they were in and out quickly.
That evening I get a call from my tenants stating that they tried running the washing machine and it flooded the bathroom. After spending the entire night cleaning up the flooding and trying to minimize the damage done to my carpet in the adjoining rooms I called E & J to express my discontent with their service call. The person I talked to on the phone was curt and rude and didn't listen to what I had to say and quickly told me that he would have the technician come back out to the property and they would reverse the previous service call charge.
A couple days pass by and I receive no word from the service tech (the return visit was scheduled for the next day). My experience up to this point has been so negative that I decide to simply cut my losses and by a new washing machine for my tenants.
To top everything off I then discovered a charge from E & J on my account for $138. Which seems like quite a hefty price tag for literally not doing anything.
So to recap: E & J seems to be a company that lacks in communication and a commitment to customer service, they do not take ownership of their work, and they erroneously charge you without providing any form of recourse for dissatisfied customers.
As a local small business owner I am always on the lookout for honest and quality companies to help me when issues arise and E & J fell woefully short of my expectations.
