  • I saw that one of my fellow Yelpers tried this new place and liked it so I had to give it a try. I was especially excited to try the popcorn chicken since I haven't had good Asian style popcorn chicken since I was on campus at UCSD. I ordered the green tea with the red bean to drink and the basil popcorn chicken. I like that they ask you as you order how sweet you like your drink so you don't get something that's not to your liking. I ordered my drink at 80% sweet and it wasn't really sweet at all, which I actually liked. The drink is really heavy so if you want something filling this is the drink. They blend some of the red bean into the drink and then put some on top of the drink as well. I asked them to put mine on the bottom so I could get the beans right from the start. If I could do this again, I would request the beans not be blended in. I felt like in kinda beat out the matcha flavor and I wanted that flavor more with a hint of the red bean via the actual beans at the bottom. The drink was pretty good though. My friend ordered the milk tea with boba, grass jelly, and custard and I actually liked his better. The popcorn chicken was so good. It comes out super hot with whole fried basil leaves and garlic chunks on top. The chicken is super juicy inside and the outside batter is really crispy and has really good flavor. They also sprinkle little bits of fried basil all over so you really taste the basil. I like my chicken spicy so I went and got some chili powder and sprinkled it on my chicken. I think this is a must to enhance the flavor. If you can't do heat, still try a little tiny bit on it. The portion size was good as well. I was very happy with this order. My friend ordered the lobster balls but they were out (sad day), so he order the takoyaki balls. The sauce flavors on top were good for the most part. The balls basically consisted of a small octopus piece and the rest batter. I had mixed feelings about the takoyaki over all. I have had better. I like this place and would come back if I was near by.
