| - Edit: my Jeep still has the same issues it did when I turned it in. Car won't lock/unlock, shoddy Bluetooth, ETC except now I get the added bonus of power steering turning off sometimes. I requested all the documents for a Lemon Law case and they sent me a receipt. I asked multiple times for all the documentation before giving up. Now I am stuck with a car with tons of internal issues until 2019 SOS.
DO NOT LEASE (or probably buy) HERE. Shady, cheap service and unpleasant since the beginning and will knowingly sell you janky cars and expect you to front the bill.
Leased a brand new Jeep Renegade Latitude here in January. Was failed to be told that this brand new fleet of Jeeps had tons of internal systematic problems that would eventually cause my steering wheel to lock on the freeway and have to unlock my car doors one by one.
Fast forward to two months in. The Bluetooth begins to deteriorate and my key clicker doesn't begin to unlock the doors.
Fast forward to May/June, the doors no longer automatically unlock/lock, the trunk doesn't open, the AUX/Bluetooth/USB doesn't work, the power steering light comes on and locks my wheel, my trunk won't open, it needs an oil change, etc.
I bring it in once in May and they tell me they won't give me a loaner/rental car because I didn't sign up for the "rental car insurance" (????) when I leased it. Out of all the useless crap they tried to pawn off on me, why wasn't I aware of this policy? And also what dealership doesn't loan out cars or pay for a rental when they knowingly sold you a car that commonly had issues?! I am a twenty-one year old college student. "Politely infuriated and holding back tears" was the term I used to describe my demeanor as they wanted me to shell out $400 for a rental car when as a college student that is literally not possible. They leased me a car whose model was known to have problems but expected me to rent a car on a college budget at a 21 y/o. So I drove my Jeep back home and didn't get it serviced.
Come back after the steering wheel locks on the freeway while I'm driving and they give me a free rental (after my parents got involved).
When there, I tell them I need an oil change. Apparently my car takes a $100 synthetic oil (of course) but the service admin understood that they had leased me a f--ked up car and that I was not paying that. But what dealership doesn't provide a first oil change for free? Did they expect me to pay that after the laundry list of things wrong with my car?
Anyways and for some reason my rental car (the only one available before I had to go to work) was a Ram V8 four door hemi truck. A massive, gas-sucking behemoth for which I begrudgingly paid the gas for.
And the plot thickens.
I get a call asking to pick up my Jeep a quick day or two later. But I have to bring the 8 foot truck back into Enterprise before and be shuttled over. But Enterprise closes at 5pm. Why? Why would you require everyone that you service to rent from a company that closes at 5pm in Centennial? So I tell them like most people, I work during the day until 5pm so Saturday was the soonest I could come.
No. That was not okay, Prestige will only pay for the rental car for 48 hours. So I was expected to pay for not only the gas in this in my two ton death machine that was bestowed upon me, but now I was expected to pay what was probably an exorbitant rate for a luxury truck as a 21-year-old female?!
So I call Enterprise to ask them if I can leave the keys and truck there, with the service admin who was helping me (they oblige because they have actually considerate business practices). I call the Prestige service department three times (no one picks up), and my service admin twice (his voicemail box was conveniently full).
Eventually I got a hold of someone. THIRTY MINUTES LATER. I took a 30 minutes out of my work day to simply reach voicemails and receptionists until I spoke to a service admin. So they said I could drop off my keys but was not responsible for anything if the car was magically hit by a comet or something.
I can't wait to get my Jeep and never ever visit Centennial ever again.
In addition, the inside is just dingy and old, and the staff is rude. The only sign of life in the waiting room is the Every single car dealership I've been to has at least been slightly tolerable but I would NEVER recommend Prestige to even my worst enemy (actually I probably would).
