  • Beware!!!! Ok so here is my experience. On Wednesday my dad called a number he found on google which was called A1 locksmith 623-335-0911. He was quoted a price of 15.00 for the service call and 19.00 per lock to change out all our locks (8). I then called and spoke with the same person as my dad (james) and he confirmed the pricing. We were told that was all inclusive. We set an appt for 10am Thursday. At 10am the next day I get a call from CALL ORANGE saying he's late. He ended up being 2 hours late. He shows up and tried to tell me the service call is 35.00 and 25 per lock. I told him what we were quoted. He tried to upsell me for most of the time but then relented and wrote me out a receipt and asked me to sign it. After signing I looked down and saw that he included a charge for 60.00 an hour for labor on top of everything else. I told him that was not disclosed and that I'd have to call A1 back and speak to james to sort this out. When I phoned the number, the person who answered said he'd never heard of james and insisted that no one by that name worked there. I told him that I'd only ever phoned 1 locksmith period at that point so there was no way I'd phoned the wrong number back since he said he was a locksmith. The number matched up to james'. He was quite rude and when I told him the price change he tried to say that that was one estimate and that it would be 15.00 AND UP for a service call and 19.00 and up per lock. That was definitely not what was agreed to. I told the guy from Call Orange I didn't want to continue and I took the signed invoice and tore it up. He insisted I give him the invoice back for his taxes even though he did none of the work. Then he insisted I pay him for the service call. I told him I didn't have cash on me and after all that had happened didn't feel comfortable giving him my credit card. He insisted I go to an ATM and give him the money so he followed me to my bank and I gave him the cash. Then I called Old Glory locksmith and got a price quote half of what the Call Orange guy tried to charge me. I then told him about my experience with a call Orange and he deducted that amount off my bill so the total I paid was even less. He said it was important to him that locksmiths not be given a bad name and he didn't want me to have a bad impression of locksmiths. He was so honest and good and did all work as agreed. I'd highly recommend Old Glory if you want an honest locksmith. I also learned that A1 locksmith has a bunch of people they contract out to who rip people off. Call Orange is just one of them
