| - I came here the first time and got a young lady that was a little rough when handling but the roughness was worth it because the nails were beautiful and even and smooth and it only took aprox, from walking in to walking out (faster then most nail artists) so in 3 weeks time I was due for a new set and decided to go back this time it was an older lady, she sat me down and started the removal process (my nails always lift so this can be a tasking job) she let me pick my color (a nice blue) and I told her I wanted a flower accent painted on my ring finger she said no problem.
after an hour she was just starting to apply the color to the tips, and I was beginning to watch the time as I had to be in airdrie in an hour...
An hour and 45 mins after walking in she was just finished applying the color tip and thick clear coat and began sanding only my ring finger (anyone who regularly gets their nails done knows that after applying the base it gets filed smooth and hit with another layer of clear coat before the wrap up..... the lady skipped both these steps..and still managed to make this painful ordeal take 2 hours) she applied what looks like zebra stripes to my ring finger and did the clear coat, by now it was noon and I was already supposed to be out of town so I payed her, tipped her a couple bucks (about a quarter of what I normally tip) and got the heck out of there
While in airdrie I noticed o can't even run my fingers through my hair with out my hair getting snagged up and I stop and look at my nails I threw sun and it looks like a mountain rang on my nails. . so bumpy and uneven, looks like crap, I got home and even my husband pointed out how bad they looked, so I called and asked to have it fixed, the lady on the phone says no pro let come at 1 pm
I get there at 1 and she looks at my nails (same lady that did them) and asks me what I find wrong with them, I was taken aback... how could she not see...so I politely explain the bumps and ridges and angles, she says I don't see problem if I fix this nail (yes just one, the one I used as example) it might break I don't know. I'm frustrated now and say listen there are parts of my nails that are a centimeter thick and parts that are a millimeter thick and that isn't acceptable for a 50$ fill... she starts yelling at me saying there is nothing wrong, and something else that I can't understand so I asked what she said and she ignores me... "excuse me I'm talking to you, I asked what you just said?" Continues to ignore me grabs my hand and starts smoothing ONE nail on each hand, "ma'am I'm talking to you... what did you just say to me?" Keeps ignoring me... so now I'm mad... "excuse me ma'am I normally pay 30 bucks for a fill that looks 1000 x better then the one I just payed 50 plus tip for and you are going to ignore me because you can't handle that you did a bad job?" She starts being very aggressive to the point of cracking my knuckles while applying topcoat...
Simply put, you could do a better job at home with one of those kits from superstore on yourself for cheaper, don't waste your time or money! !
This app won't let me not give at least 1 star but believe me I would put negative 5 stars, I went to the other nail place in the mall immediately after she "fixed" my nails, the lady looked at my nails and immediately got a look of disprove (yes even after the lady at groovy attempted to fix 2 of my nails) and offered to fix them right then and there...
