I initially went to Geno Como because I wanted to cover some grey, and figured the owner would be the most skilled hairdresser at the salon. I sincerely hope that is not the case. After my second appointment to correct the mistakes made during the first appointment, Geno kept arguing that "that's not what you said you wanted. That's not how you explained it." because he thought I wanted four 'thick, chunky highlights' in the front of my head. Why would you think that, and why would you argue with a customer who is disappointed with your work? (I wish I could post photos, but DM me if you'd like to see) After explaining again that I wanted a few natural-looking balayage highlights to just frame my face, he was very frustrated and angry. I didn't want Geno to end up doing more damage, so I told him that I would be fine if he could just apply the root color to cover the blonde chunks (they were each 3-4" long) and the remaining grey (because he didn't leave the color on long enough the first time). I left with dark orange chunks that aren't noticeable if the lighting is low, and faint grey hairs peeking through the dye. I'm certainly disappointed with my experience at Geno Como, and though I don't leave reviews often, I felt it's at least a good deed if I prevent someone else from wasting their time and hard earned money. Their shampoo smells pretty good.
