| - As a Cleveland resident who doesn't have a car and can't always use public transit to get to particular places, I've had to rely on taxis on several occasions. There are certain risks that come with taking a cab anywhere - curmudgeonly drivers, lateness, dirty vehicles, etc. - but Ace is certainly among the worst companies in the city.
While the bulk of my drivers have been friendly (or at least personable), they're far from reliable. The company's horrible dispatching service often reassigns taxis in a short time frame, making for a painful wait if one is expected to be somewhere at a given time. If you are relaxed about your own schedule, Ace might not prove as much of an issue; however, avoid this service if you need to be at a job interview, an appointment, a gig, etc.
I have yet to use Lyft or Uber (I plan to do so in the near future), but they seem highly recommended by both Yelp users and the general public because of lower fares, more reliability, and good service. Do not opt for Ace out of convenience; either take a stab at another company or use the rapid.
