  • Midwood Smokehouse is one of the newest additions to the Backlot of the Park Road Shopping Center and that is a yippee for me, as I live in the area. Having been to other Midwood locations I was definitely looking forward to checking out their newest spot. The weather was nice so we opted for waiting for a table on the outside patio, which was less than 10 minutes. While we waited we ordered some drinks at the bar, and eyed every dish that went by, as well as smelled the amazing goodness. After arriving to our table we were greeted by our waitress who was great! She had a smile on her face and definitely gave us and every table around us the attention customers deserve. We decided to order a Combination Platter, which comes with 4 meats and two sides, and added a few additional sides. From the platter selections we chose the Chopped Pork, Brisket, St. Louis Style Pork Ribs and the Hickory Smoked Sausage with Macaroni & Cheese, Smoked Veggies, Crinkle Fries and an extra side of Hushpuppies. The food arrived and boy did it look good. By far the chopped pork and brisket were the winners, with the hushpuppies and fries shining for the sides. Dinner did not disappoint and overall I think Midwood will be a definite hit in this location. With the service, atmosphere and food as good as it is anyone should check it. And, go hungry, it's a lot of food!
