  • I wasn't at all thrilled with Polish'd Nail Bar. I booked an artistic gel manicure after work one day. I didn't know before I got there that it was going to be a dry manicure and if I had, I wouldn't have booked. When I arrived the staff were unorganized and the small window like shop was crammed with people. It was clear that everyone was uncomfortable with how packed it was. After waiting about ten minutes to be seated, I asked my nail tech about doing a simple design to which she was not sure if she could do. So I went with a basic manicure with an accent nail instead. Polish application was okay, I noticed she missed the edges of my nail during the top coat application which ended up causing the edges to peel a bit. My manicure lasted just under two weeks chip-free, just the same as any shellac manicure. At the end of the service, you're offered lotion or a scrub. I opted for lotion, which included a quick massage. The "guava" lotion smelled rancid and I ended up having to wash my hands right away because I couldn't deal with the smell (very odd as I'm not usually sensitive to smell). It cost $40 for the service, which was very overpriced considering another spa would do the exact same service as a gel polish application (versus manicure) for $20. All she did was push back my cuticles and therefore I would not agree that this consisted as a manicure. I will say though it probably depends on your nail tech, as I watched another client get an awesome set of nail art heavy nails that looked fabulous and I watched them take a photo of the work for their Instagram. So lurk their Insta page and be sure to book with one of the top techs to insure you get what you want. I think you can get much better service at a much better cost elsewhere.
