I have driven past La Torretta Ristorante more times than I can count, so on a whim one evening when I was craving some Italian food (which doesn't happen all too often) I decided to finally give this hidden spot a chance. Walking in I felt like I was being transported back to the late 1980's or the early 90's when peach and mural walls were all the rage. Place had maybe 3 tables on an early Sunday evening,
First glance, I was a little surprised by the prices they were charging but was hoping that the food would be well worth the $25.00 a plate pasta dish prices. A few take notes... The best part of the evening was their bread service and their house infused olive oil. I could have spent my evening making that my dinner thankfully they sell their oil by the jar so I know one thing is for sure, I will be back to buy a bottle of it. The not so good was my not so good linguine and clams. It tasted like they threw a couple fresh clams on top and poured a can of clams on top of the pasta. I was super bummed, I was really hoping this place was going to be my new found hidden Italian gem. Not so much. For the prices they charge the food should reflect it.
Hate to say it, but I won't be back... I love to support local businesses and the service was amazing and friendly.
