  • 10 stars out of 5! I wish I could put that in! I've been battling back pain for several years now. I've been working in retail for a good amount of years and just recently, I took on another job as a bank teller. I'm constantly on my feet and if I do both jobs, I'm on my feet for a good 12 hours during the whole day. I would often take up to four ibuprofen pills whenever my back would act up. It would numb the pain but I still felt the tension. I've gone to a chiropractor to see if they could help but unfortunately, it didn't. Then my back woke me up in the middle of night -- it hurt sooooo bad. And that prompted me to look for a place for a massage. I decided to try IMR Massage because it was close to my house and they had a new client special on their website. $65 for a 60 minute massage with your choice of cup therapy or hot stone. I decided to go for the cup therapy because its mean to help your problem areas and release the tension in your muscles. And due to the reviews on yelp, I decided to go to Elliot for my massage. Elliot is extremely friendly and professional. If it is your first visit, he would spend a little time to get to know you and know where your problem areas are. He will ask you if you want him to focus on a certain place versus doing a whole body massage. He also makes you feel extremely comfortable. I know it may cause a little anxiety to have a male masseuse but I was completely comfortable with Elliot. Elliot did a wonderful job with the massage. If you need any change of pressure, feel free to let him know. Most of my massages, I start dozing off towards the end of it after he worked some tension out. It turns out that my upper back is extremely tense. There are a few huge knots around the areas below my shoulders. When I asked Elliot how tense I was, he said I was probably a 9 out of 10 in tension. OOOOPH! I should've done this earlier! This recent visit, Elliot focused on my problem areas and I felt soooo good afterwards. I was so much more relaxed afterwards. The knots aren't completely gone because it's impossible to undo tension that's been building up for ... like ... six years but this is as good as it can get. If you aren't sure how much pressure you can handle, you can start small at first and during your future visits, you can have him add pressure. I'm actually in that boat. I don't know how much pressure I'd be able to handle so the first two massages I got were pretty relaxing. The recent one was when I had asked for a bit more pressure. The next massages that I'll be getting, I'll definitely have him add more to get those pesky knots out! On the road to recovery!!! Definitely give them a try. Worth every penny in my wallet.
