| - I had a horrible experience at the dealership yesterday. The salesperson would not give us an exact price on a vehicle we were interested in after we asked several times and the "manager", this pompous, arrogant purple shirt wearing runt of a man, had a serious attitude problem when we were suddenly not interested when the price went up $7000 from what we were told the price was. It was literally $10,000 more than we wanted to spend on a car when we gave the salesperson our initial budget. The manager was very unprofessional and got loud with us and was creating a scene when we said we weren't interested in the vehicle when the price jumped, and we left. There was unfortunately, an exchange between the "manager " and myself, because I will not let someone mistreat me or my friends and family, which I didn't want to have. I told the guy off and dropped a few words and choice phrases it seemed he needed to hear, which I'm not particularly proud of, but I felt threatened and he pushed the right button to make me go from customer to never set foot on your lot ever again. Based upon this experience, I will NEVER set foot on that lot again, because I felt it was almost abusive, and it really left a bad taste in my mouth with Nissan. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I usually purchase a new vehicle every 3-4 years, and Hell would pretty much have to freeze over and open a skating rink before I would concede to even... consider returning to this horrible place where customers come last.
We went down the street, found a really nice vehicle on a different lot, and purchased it from Cadillac maybe 10 minutes later. We were not mistreated by the staff there because they actually wanted our business and we came to a good price. ;)
I was appalled by the behavior of the Nissan staff. I will not be yelled at by someone, especially an employee who should be trying to be earning my business, because I don't want to buy something when I feel lied to, cheated, or threatened. Nissan, you need to make you customers feel safe and you can't try to pussyfoot around the price of something. Be up front and honest with your customers and reprimand your employees who mistreat your customers because it's destroying your business.
