| - My friends and I have been frequent visitors Unionville Arms for years. Back in the day, many many years ago, they used to have wings special and there weren't as many pub options in the area.
Todays' Arms still stand tall, with lots of drinks specials and live performance nights. Food is still pretty consistent.
I'm writing this based on my last two visits this year. First, I sat out in their large patio for dinner with a friend late summer / early autumn, it got a bit cooler as we sat and since we were seated at edge of the patio, the heater did not get to us at all. Our table was the only table behind the doors from pub's side door. I'm not sure if it we were the last table of this specific server or just the location of our table, we didn't seem to get much attention, but besides extra drinks, we didn't need much more attention than normal.
Second, for my Friendsmas shenanigans, since there were to be nine of us, we called ahead to make a reservation to make sure we'd be able to have dinner there. I got there at 6:30pm for when the reservation was made, I watched the guy go off to talk to someone as they looked onto the dining room, he came back and asked us to wait 10 minutes longer. We went outside to wait for the rest of our group and went back inside after 10 minutes and they said they've set up to seat us in the other room. They pushed too many table together and made a table of 16 instead of just 9. Sure, not a problem, we helped give a few tables back.
They have a large selection of food on their menu, wraps, sandwiches, burgers and even all day breakfast. With a large specials of the day menu as well. Food was pretty good, but a bit overpriced I feel. Like my pulled pork poutine, $13.99. What?
Service otherwise was good beyond those issues mentioned above.
I haven't come here for live music, but I think going to have to come here for it one night.
