| - I prefer coming to this newest location of The Chicken Shack. Located in the strip mall anchored by Kohls, it's by a residential area, less traffic to deal with, right off the 215 Valle Verde exit. It's cleaner and kept clean, unlike the other Henderson location which I reviewed in the past.
The meal combos are good deals. My go to is #1 Combo.. 6pc wings, heap of skinny fries(or veggies on request) and a drink. Just under ten bucks!
Favorite sauce/topping: It's a garlic parmesan, but the dry rub version, tossed. Not on the menu, so you have to request it..or point to my photo. The owner, V..?, told me she makes the sauces every morning. I haven't got around to trying any other sauces, just the garlic/parm one, 3 different ways..lol..So you got a favorite, I want to hear about it, maybe I'll change up my orders.
The chicken ..good.. nice size, meaty..but not the best. But for the price, I'll go for it. There was one time I came and it was a tad dry, another time under seasoned. The employees, owner or staff in charge do make the rounds to those dining in and will ask how is everything and are eager to please their customers.
Dining area is clean, same furnishings left from previous restaurant are still here,,,makes me miss BBD now..sniff sniff. The wall is decorated with those corny "Why Did The Chicken Cross the Road" jokes and license plates. I spotted one from the Phillipines!
It's busy from the start at 10am and seating fills up fast. This particular franchise is separate from Sunset and Boulder City locations, different owner/operator. The staff is really nice and friendly and make it a point to remember their regulars, an overall good neighborhood vibe and place to get wings!
