This review is for the Reedy Creek Park and Nature Center which is located in Reddy Creek Park. Was here for their Edible Plant Hike. Fun program to bring the kids to as well as for adults to learn about what is edible and what is not when you are out there hiking, in the woods or anywhere there are trees and flora.
There are 7 hiking trails ranging from 0.25 miles to 1 miles
We were on the Umbella Tree Trail which was a 1 mile hike.
Tips
-Wear sneaker and comfortable shoes. Easy to step on a rock and slide
-No texting there are uphill and down hill in these trails. One can really hurt themselves.
-Bring water there is refilling station (fountain) at the Nature Center
-Take a map just in case
-Bring friends along and enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings.
Check out the Backyard Habitat Garden- Photo ops with butterflies, hummingbirds and honeysuckle.
Parking area for the Nature Center is relatively small and gets packed with events.
Will be back to hike through their other trails and see other parts of the park.
