Excellent park for running and exercise.
Pros:
- A 3 km soft track if you run to the various extremities of the park (I measured it on Google maps!)
- Lots of green field space for running drills, sports, mat exercises etc. (think 3 soccer fields worth, at least)
- Three sets of stairs for a true test of fitness (two wood, one concrete and one of the wood ones is partially sheltered)
- Water fountain
- Bike rack (at the tennis court)
- Easy access from St. Clair West Subway
- Right on the bike path that can be accessed from College and St. George (for instance)
- Gated dog park (this is important, a dog relieved himself on my field markers last year, and in the past dogs have been all around)
The park also features:
- Tennis courts (although adult membership for this year closed some time ago)
- Childrens area with play apparatus
- You can easily sunbathe if that is your thing
- Maintenance by the City of Toronto
Cons:
- Washrooms exist, but quite frankly should be better maintained
- Organized sports frequently occur that, practically speaking, take away use of fields
Overall
This is an excellent park but it gets something deducted for washroom maintenance (if I could give 4.5 stars, I would)
