If there's an option for no star I would have put one. I booked car rental through Cheapticket.com and purchased insurance. When I got to Dollar, the rep said he couldn't find my record but it's okay because he can put it in the system. He also asked me if I purchased insurance and I said yes thinking that it was what I purchased through Cheaptickets. He never explained that it was actually additional insurance on top of what I already purchased. Later I called why I was being charged twice and I was told it was just a deposit and not to worry. Later after I returned the car, I found out I was charged add'l insurance. The customer service said she couldn't help me because I actually accepted the charge (eventhough I explained that I had my own insurance and had I known it was an extra charge, I wouldn't have purchased it myself). The response was to go back to Cheaptickets and see if I could get refunded which I did. Cheaptickets insurance was for $50 vs. Dollar for $179. After my experience, I will never go back to Dollar again. There's a reason why it's called Dollar because all they think about is how they can reap off their customers $$$.
