  • It's hard to find fault with this place. Just off of Pineville-Matthews road, it's easy to drive right past it and not know its there. On my visit, I was actually looking for another Mexican restaurant and just happened upon Don Pedro first. When I arrived for lunch, I was seated immediately. I ordered the lunch special? Which was the fiesta chimichanga. The waiters were very attentive and brought out refills of water and salsa quite regularly as I waited for my meal. The food was very high quality and delicious. Even the refried beans tasted freshly home made. The waiter even brought out a slice of fried tortilla with syrup and whipped cream which was a nice touch at meal's end. I have been looking for a good Mexican food restaurant near where I work in Ballantyne and I believe I have now found it.
