So I bought my Ford Escape two years ago back in Illinois where I'm from. I love my car and have had little to no problems with it since. I moved out to Scottsdale a two months ago and decided it was time for my routine oil change. Luckily AutoNation Ford is close by so I decided to go there. I pulled into the service entry where it was completely empty and got looks from a couple of the service guys. Then one short guy came out of the office and peeks his head into my window. He says "what are you here for?" and "do you have an appointment", no hi, no welcome to Ford, nothing. I then said I need an oil change and asked if they had time, as I looked around at an empty service area. He then said "of course we have time." I got out of my car and followed him to his office where I gave him my information so they could pull up my file for my maintenance plan. He started making jokes about my last name and my appearance and why I decided to move. It made me uncomfortable and was very unprofessional. He then told me I could go wait in the waiting room and pointed to the door. How rude!
So I decided while I was waiting I would look at the new cars, people watch, play some games on my phone, ect. An HOUR AND A HALF later my phone was about dead and I ran out of things to do. I walk up to the front desk and asked for the status of my car. As she was pulling up my information the short guy comes in the room and shout from across the desk "are you checking up on me?" I almost lost it. He then explains to me that my car had been done for a while now but he was stuck with another customer helping them set up their radio. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!??!!! Send somebody else in to at least let me know that it's ok and finished.
Alright, then he shows me the paperwork that tells me what they did to my car and explains that I'm also leaking fluid so I have to come back and fix that. And then of course tried to sell me some wiper blades. Horrible! This time he walked me out side with my keys in his hand and said "where is it?" Then set off the alarm so we could find that it had been parked across the parking lot. He then tells me to call him if there is any problems. Shouldn't he know if its gunna be a problem? I walked to my car and see that in the hour and a half that they had it they couldn't even run it through the car wash... I was so pissed off.. I will never go back to that horrible place again until they learn some better customer service!
