  • The worst....my system was put in last July but not turned on until December. Solar City blamed APS but when I contacted APS they hadn't received my lease paperwork from Solar City. Since I work with APS in another capacity, I knew they were telling the truth.. Now, with the summer heating up in AZ, my airconditioner turns off when I'm not home because of the NEST thermostat which is a piece of garbage. I am trying to get it removed and a traditional thermostat put in so the air stays on when I'm not home. Right now I come home to a home at 90 degrees or more, and it takes 2 hours to cool down. Lastly, the sales representative was a complete liar. I just recently got a bill with a $7.50 service charge. When I called in I was told "it's in your lease". It is in the lease, however, this was never discussed with me. So I have to set up automatic payments with them (which I don't like because my paydays are not the same each month) in order to avoid this charge which is just about 10% of the lease. My APS bill is down to around $25.00 so I like the solar, however, I wish I'd gone with another company. Live and learn!
