Visited Container Park one night with a group of friends. While waiting for the rest of our group to arrive, we popped into Oak and Ivy to keep warm and grab a drink.
First thing, the inside is tiny. It's a shipping container turned bar! On warmer and busier nights, they offer table service but because it was a cold, windy evening there was no table service. As such, we were crammed into the shipping container with another group and a couple. It was a liiiiiitle cramped.
Second thing, those drinks. Wow. The bartenders aren't just bartenders. They seriously know their craft. They listened and took into consideration every aspect of taste preferences to recommend and make delicious cocktails.
The bartenders were wearing super cute "old timey" outfits that matched the decor in style. The walls have plaid wallpaper and a very classic American feeling. The bartenders dressed in hipster-esque classic American outfits, which was cute.
The one thing I thought was weird was their whiskey flights. They give you like a pop quiz with them?? To see if you guess which is which??
I have to hand it to the gentlemen working the night we were there: they were on point with every cocktail. Definitely recommend throwing these guys a "this is what I like, this is what I don't like" and just letting them create something special for you. You won't be disappointed!!
