  • Recently spent 3 days at the Golden Nugget. I'll be honest. It's not any of the newer hotels that are on the strip. For example, I miss having a dedicated elevator to the upper floors. They only had 4 in the Rush Tower and one was inoperable. Another example, they don't have a ton of valet hosts ready to greet you when you pull your car up. I found the location of the TV in the room rather off because you couldn't see it from the sofa in the room, but only from the bed. There's no fridge, but they do have a Keurig machine which you have to pay for if you use their coffee. All that being said, the people were the most friendliest people in Vegas. Every single person I interacted with made me feel important and took the time to answer my questions or assist with my needs. From the Players Club to the Valet - pretty much perfect. An example, I dropped my Key FOB at the Valet, which appeared to have broke into pieces. Not good. Well, they young man helped me put it back together including finding all the small parts that flew everywhere and got it working again. The people in the VIP area were extremely helpful, especially when I asked if there was place to print my boarding pass and they offered to print it for me. There were a few other surprises along the way (a nice hand pay at a slot for example where again - the slot hostesses were extremely nice and seemed to celebrate my win as much as I did. Another thing I've read about is the noise from the street. We were on the 15th floor, facing the strip, and even though ear plugs were provided, I couldn't hear a thing from Fremont Street. That aside, it was the people who made this visit worth while and special so Thank You to the staff at the Golden Nugget.
