Vegan review:
First off, finding this spot was no easy feat. When you drive into the seemingly abandoned plaza, it looks.... Abandoned. Look for a store front in the middle of a block with a green wall. If you can't spot it, because it is quite small, on the corner of the same block, there is a large rectangular building the has blacked out windows. I think it might be some kind of club. Komol is just a few doors down. On to the review...
I came to Komol because of their vegan-izable menu. They have so many options for veg-heads like myself which was overwhelming because I'm not used to it. Due to my indecision, I went with what the waiter suggested which was the Panang curry. I also got a bowl of rice on the side which was apparently free!
Tip: ask for crushed peanuts on the side! They will give you a container of crushed peanuts which is a fantastic addition to any Thai dish.
They curry was really flavorful and I really liked it. I sprinkled crushed peanuts liberally and it was so good!
Overall, I would come again for the options but it was pricy compared to the other Thai place we went to located in the chinatown area.
