| - If I could give Dobson Bay Club a negative rating I would. This place was filthy when I moved into my unit. There was feces and urine in both toilets, insects in the freezer with a God awful stinch, the freezer was cracked on the inside, the carpet had not been replaced as management lied and stated it was, the washer and dryer was filthy, stains on many of the walls in the unit, the ceiling panels that cover the lights in the kitchen were cracked and discolored, the closet doors on the rollers in each bedroom were off the track, the sinks in the master bathroom was filled with what looked like a gerbils hair, the bathroom tubs were not mounted correctly so there was a gap between the bottom of the tub and the floor, it had to be injected with foam and I couldn't be in the unit for almost two days while it was being repaired, the guys who repaired the tubs left their soda pop cans in my kitchen and had dropped what looked like salsa or katsup on my floor and didn't have enough the nerve to clean it up, the oven was filthy and the drip pans had a bunch of sticky nasty residue in them, the kitchen drain stops were rusted and worn, the fans in the unit squeaked like nobody's business, the front window of my unit had a large gap that wouldn't allow the window to shut causing air to seep in and out, not to mention someone could have easily broken into my unit, there were no screens on any of the windows, they had to be ordered, the vent in the AC unit was still there from the prior occupants covered in grey fur it had not been changed for looked to be several months, the maintenance guy here is super retarded and had the nerve to come into my unit unannounced when I was home one day, I should have knocked the mess out of him for entering my property unannounced like that, the laundry door was off the rollers and stained with filthy residue, the storage unit was filled from bottom to top with the prior occupants shit and management didn't even know until I said something to them. It's as if the prior occupants were evicted and had to leave hurriedly. I hate this place, they are over priced and not worth the hard earned money I make. I even asked less than 24 hours after signing my lease if I could break my lease no strings attached, I even offered to let management keep my $200 deposit because I was so unhappy with this unit. Matthew and Bea at the time would not oblige my request. I moved in 10-14-15 and I should have posted this review much sooner. I came to post today because I have been for the past two months sent to eviction court because I fell behind on my rent due to having a huge pay cut now working for the county. The office refused to work with me. So this month I made the extra effort to have my rent paid on time by 3-5-17 for $1048.00. I come home to a late rent notice handed to me by my kids which was a huge mistake.y rent was paid on time and I am livid that this notice was even drafted. I am at the point where I am seriously contemplating breaking my lease and having the remaining portion die for on my credit report. My sanity means more than struggling here where me and my kids are unhappy. I have pictures for all of the mentioned things in my post. I HATE THIS PLACE and I cannot wait until my lease ends. I wouldn't advise anyone to move here unless you like living in filth and paying inflated prices. I could have a house for the amount to of no way I spend here. Dobson Bay is under new management and that was a horrible transition. The only amenity available is the pool and even that is closed for maintenance half the year. This place sickens me. People dig through the trash for cans and recyclables, the gate is broken most of the time. Oh and the icing on the cake, my car was towed from my own parking spot. I come outside to go grocery shopping and my car is gone...I'm thinking it was stolen so I call the police. Mesa PD tells me that my car was towed for not having a parking decal! Mind you I had already been here almost one year by that time and noone from the management ever advised me or gave me a parking decal. So I had to come up with money I did not have, while being 7 months pregnant going through all this bull shit to get my car back. I'm telling you, save your time, money and do not rent from Dobson Bay. You will regret it just as I do. I can't express how much I hate this place.
