  • I have been dining at Pastis now since I moved out here.. so for about one year. During this time I can tell you that I have never had one negative experience. The quality of the food is bar none... You can tell that they use only finest ingredients to prepare their food. You wont find anything over $14.00 (even their specials) while most of the dishes on the menu run around $8-$9 I have yet to find another restaurant that gives me the "inner city experience" .... That is, a Quaint little restaurant, that offers great ambiance, amazing food for very reasonable prices. You will also take an instant liking to the one of the owners Luca. He is normally at the front counter or bar preparing drinks, seating customers and assisting the waiters. He is from western Europe I think... but beware guys becarful! This man has more charm then Pierce Brosnan in a chick flick... altho he is very kind and courteous, also excellent in conversation. A Perfect host :) Your girlfirends/wifes will be asking to come back here... I promise. The food is fabulous. Mostly eastern European style with a nice selection of sausages on the menu. I normally dine there and rarely go there for lunch however I have had a few of their sandwiches. Lunch was flawless and light... great feeling after consuming such a healthy lunch! As for dinner I can honestly say just buy what ever the special is for the evening. You wont be disappointed. The Chef is very talented and if he is making a special I want encourage him to continue to try new things. Personally I love the chicken cort on blue! The only negatives I can say about this place is that they skimp on the sides. For instance if you order a side of fruit, they give you a little shot glass sized fruit salad. Also, there was a few times that the food did take a bit of time to come out.. prob like 25-30 min. But they have seemed to nip that in the bud as the last 3 times I have visited my order was out with in 15. With the recent addition of their liquor license they have also opened up a full bar which mostly carry top-shelf stuff and fine euro beer. During happy hour you can grab a pint of beer for $3.00 which is a great deal in my book! All in all you will have a wonderful dining experience, support a local business, and it will be cheap on the wallet! Just go you will not be disappointed.
