  • This visit reminded me of all the reasons of why I never liked Chipotle. I was sadly disappointed and highly annoyed. I will admit - we were super excited to be getting a new Chipotle in our area. It is one of our go to options for clean eating (read paleo and whole 30). Every time we drove past, I would slow down and wait for that NOT OPEN sign to disappear. So this weekend, we drive past and it is apparent they are open - so of course we went in. I walk inside and you can tell it is brand new. Everything is super clean. The line was relatively short. Here is where everything goes awry. On previous visits to other Chipotles - the employees exhibit some type of professionalism and good customer service values. Here they lacked all of that. Two ladies in front of me - the 1st lady had several orders - no big deal. Except they messed up her very last one. They put beans instead of brown rice. And the entire time - I hear one associate repeatedly say brown rice. So how am I aware of this if I am not the associate working? The 2nd lady was nice to look at - stunning and beautiful. She repeated her order a few times as well but the associates in the line were consistently talking back and forth to each other so again they messed up her order. Lady 2 had even loudly said NO BEANS before they processed to put beans on her order. A little of the juice got on and they tried to ask her to keep it. I was dumbfounded. This is now the 2nd order I witnessed them throw in the trash. After they halfway make lady #2 order - one guy starts flirting with the lady and I get it but Hello? This is why my order is being delayed. Not Cool!!! So they finally ask me what I would like - I tell the girl and she immediately starts talking to another coworker about nothing work related for a good 1 minute or so - then has the audacity to ask me to repeat my order without apologizing for her lack of customer service. They make my order and I am so frustrated at this point - I am not really paying attention anymore. The cashier goes to ring me up and I am speaking ENGLIGH to her but she ASSUMES I am Spanish and speaks SPANISH to me. This makes me uncomfortable. I have to explain I don't speak Spanish when I never spoke it to begin with. If someone from Chipotle is reading this - please train your associates this is rude. My orders were to go. I ordered two carnitas salad, a side of guacamole and a cheese quesadilla for my son. I get open and both of our salads had less than 2 oz of meat on it. If you look at the picture, the meat you can see is literally the only meat on the salad. The guacamole originally looked full but by the time I got home and it settled it was only 1/2 full. And my son's cheese quesadilla - I don't think they even cooked at all! The cheese never melted and was cold to the touch. My thoughts when it comes to chains is that it is ALWAYS your customer service that is going to set you apart. The food will taste the same no matter where I go because well, it has too! But this atrocity that they have at this brand new location is not okay. Maybe if they hadn't messed up two orders in front of me, I would have received normal amounts of food. All I know is that I am a paying customer like everyone else - I should not have to suffer due to several mistakes from the employees. They are lucky if I ever get brave enough to come in again. I highly doubt it.
