| - This review is for my first visit only. I have and I am in another visit and I am going to, hopefully, add two more stars after this one.
I am a V-Dub girl. Period. I have owned a Volkswagen for 15 years and will not buy another car unless it is an Audi which is a luxury Volkswagen, for real. I recently moved from California to Charlotte, NC & left my beloved Niello in Sacramento. This dealership make me want to go back and have Niello do my service and drive back to Charlotte afterwards.
My beloved EOS had just gotten off the truck from being shipped from Cali. It needed service, for my own peace of mind. It was also at 110,000 and I never go over the service times. So hence Hendrick because it is only a few miles from my home. When I made the appointment the service rep was very professional and nice. Check. Upon arriving I was greeted by the Service Manager and escorted into the area. The CSR rep seemed a little rushed but he was fine. I could not wait for the car and decided to leave it to the pros.
A few hours later I was called and told that my battery had to be replaced to the tune of $200. No biggie as it had been the same battery for a few years. I went to pick up my car and the service guy rung up and charged me for someone else's service and I had to remind him who I was. He got that corrected and applied my military discount. Check. But alas my car was not ready when I got there. I had called to make sure it would be and it was not. They hadn't even changed the battery and the Service Manager told me that they were 'cleaning it up a little.' Fine but when you say it will be ready, have it ready!!
So I get in my car and put the top down and drive off into the sunset. As I turn on the onto the main thoroughfare, looking fly as I do, I turn on the radio to DEAD SILENCE. Now friends my radio was working when I turned it over to Volkswagen. So I turn around and this is where the 2 stars come in full affect. I go back and the first thing the manager says is when I tell him that it is a Volkswagen radio "Is it aftermarket? Did you get it installed at Volkswaken?" And I'd specifically told him that Volkswagen installed it. So I get on the phone and call Niello in Sacramento. My service manager got on the line and told him that of course I was a 100% customer and that the radio was Volkswagen. They take the car back and take forever and ask me two more time about a code. How the heck do I know what the code is? I am not V-dub certified or mechanically inclined son!
So I go sit down and I am hot like fire. A salesperson, Brianna, comes up to me and ask what is wrong. I rudely tell her what the issue is and that this is not to be borne because I am not used to this kind of service from Volkswagen. She sits there and is so cute and professional. I like her instantly and have to apologize for being salty. I was really salty. She is probably younger than my baby daughter at 23 but I am impressed nonetheless. She leaves with apologies in tow and a promise to take care of me. I must admit that I did not believe her and imaging my shock when a good looking gentleman comes to sit next to me, introduces himself as the GM and proceeds to shake my hand. Then he tells me that Brianna came to get him and explained my plight. Now this I am on board with! I tell him a summary and end with "I am just not used to being treated like this by Volkswagen. I am sure that is the problem, more than anything." He proceeds to ask me what I am there for and also calls the Sacramento dealership. What a guy! After he checks on my car he tells me "I will take care of your weather stripping. On the house." When he gets up my mouth drops to the floor and I want to ask him out on a date!
So I am going back next week for the job and will give another review forthwith.
