  • I took my pup to Dr. Schnier for treatment of an autoimmune disorder for over 8 months, and they truly are the best. Dr. Schnier always took the time to explain, in understandable terms, very complex aspects of the immune system and kept in regular contact with family vet, ensuring we both received detailed written reports and copies of lab results. Tracy (the amazing Vet Tech) always called me back same day with clear advice when I had questions or concerns (even if I was worried for no reason and it was long past when her shift ended). When the disorder progressed to critical state, my pup spent several nights in ER unit where we were all treated with compassion and kindness. Dr. Schnier and Tracy walked through treatment options, and my many many questions -making sure I understood the options we were down to were costly and no had limited chances of success. They went out their way to make sure I didn't feel guilty or feel pressured, and put the well being of my pup first and foremost. When I opted for a blood transfusion, Dr. Erney brought her own dog in to be a donor, and Dr. Schnier and Tracy stayed until at least 11pm, calling me with updates. Sadly we had to let my pup go the next day. Dr. Nash's patiently helped me process how things had progressed and supported me in making the decision that was best for my pup. Tracy came in on her day off to be with us, and Dr. Nash peacefully took us through the process. After he was gone, Tracy and Dr. Nash (despite having a very busy day) sat with me sharing stories and looking at pictures of my baby in his prime. Although he artbreaking, I could not have asked for a better way to let my pup go.
