This member of the Lancaster Library System was funded to a great extent by the residents of the Del Webb Sun City Carolina Lakes. The building is very nice with a separate conference room, computers and the card catalogue is digital and easy to use.
Library staff and a fine bunch of people who are very courteous and helpful. No more "shushing" librarians.
Every Thursday is a book sale with prices mostly under one dollar, but might be as high as a few dollars. The library is benefited by the many senior citizens who moved into Sun City and are lightening their loads of books. There are some wonderful bargains to be found and many beautiful travel books and many serious classics for sale. A number of our friends are regulars there, buying bargains.
We occasionally go to buy children's books for our grandchildren. Lots to choose from and most books are in near perfect condition. Especially around the holidays, we send boxes of books to our grandchildren.
Open to the public and plenty of parking. I mention that the shopping center is withing an easy walk with restaurants, a Harris Teeter and other stores in which to shop while waiting for your library browsers.
