| - Awesome time! We had a group of 5 doing the 4 hour tour we all had a blast. The ATVs were easy to manuever and control and the guides were great at setting us all up with our gear and teaching us how to get moving. It was also a beautiful day with clear, sunny skies, a breeze, and rather cool temperatures so we weren't dying in the desert heat (we got lucky).
+PROS+
- Easy to learn
- Gear is all included (ATV, helmet, goggles, gloves)
- Easy pick up and drop off (we were supposed to get picked up at 9am but our driver called me at 8am and said he would be at our hotel at 8:30am. Early is always better than late, I guess)
- Snacks and Lunch included (not sure if this is included in the 2 hour tour as well, but we all got food on our 4 hour tour)
- Staff adapts the tour to the group's experience and riding abilities
- Water is included
--CONS--
- Our 4 hour tour only ended up being 3 hours total including pick up and drop off; I think this was because our group was riding pretty fast and our guide adapted to us so our tour went by very quickly
- No bathrooms; Ladies, please empty your bladder prior to getting on the pick up van. You'll thank me later
- $33/person tax; I read another review that said their tax was only $16/person! What!! And that review was written the same week as our tour!
- Slightly discrimatory; One of the guys wouldn't tell me how to shift the ATV when I asked because he said "it would take longer than 5mins to explain". He didn't know that I ride a motorcycle, but he shouldn't assume that I don't know how a manual transmission works just because I'm a girl. He told my boyfriend how to shift when he asked... Later, when we were getting on the ATVs again after our break, the same guy asked me if I was scared. =__________= Am I supposed to be scared because I'm a girl??? I'm pretty sure he didn't ask any of the guys if they were scared. On top of that, the girls were all handed PINK goggles -.-
*TIPS*
- Do not bring a purse or any loose personal items (including snacks). The only place to put them would be in their dirty truck, which is fine if you don't care I guess. There's nowhere to put anything on the ATV and you don't come back to the truck until the end of the tour.
- Bring sunglasses. You can wear them under your goggles.
- Wear sunscreen
- Empty bladder prior to arriving. Or if you're a female and have a tiny bladder, bring toilet paper in your bra. And possibly a tent because there's nothing to hide behind in the desert.
- They say to wear long pants and long sleeved shirts, but you don't really have to if you don't care about getting tan/burned.
Overall the trip was super fun!! I would do it again if the price wasn't so expensive. I looked around and this company actually has the best price for ATV in Las Vegas if you use Groupon or the Yelp deal!
