  • Terrible dentist office! I would give it zero or negative stars if yelp allowed that. Smile Makers is a corporation, and it's all about money at this place. They are very uncaring. Also their equipment is by no means state-of-the-art. They still use the stiff, painful cardboard xray film. As if that's not bad enough, they then put a long plastic sleeve over the film. The sleeve is not form-fitting, so not only does the xray film dig into your cheeks and gums, you gag on the plastic sleeve. After this experience, I would not have gone back to this dental office except it is one of the few offices that accept my dental HMO insurance. (I will not be renewing this insurance and instead will pay out of pocket to go to a quality dentist.) I have a phobia of dentists and had a filling done there, opting to pay for nitrous to help with my fear. I was crying and listening to a CD on headphones to drown out the sounds. The dentist, Dr. Sani, kept a movie playing that was on in the room, and when I would look up at her, she would be laughing at the movie at times - even though she knew I was terrified and could clearly see that I was crying. She botched the filling. The owning dentist, Dr. Moab or Mohab (I can't even find his name on their website) or something like that, would do nothing to compensate me for the problem filling. They told me I need a crown; I had the filling done there 7 mos. prior to them telling me this. I got a second opinion and sure enough, I need a crown. I could go on about other things such as a hygienist who had a hole in her glove and came at my mouth with it until I pointed it out to her, but I think you get the picture. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTAL OFFICE! BTW, I think the previous reviewer who gave this place 5 stars wrote it for the wrong dental office. I was a patient at Smile Makers in 2010, and there was no Dr. Burton employed there. Also, his statement: "The office was high tech and very clean and neat" is the opposite of what I would say about this place.
