I'm still a bit of an Indian cuisine newbie, so bear that in mind with my review.
Figured a lunch buffet would be a good way to sample a variety of dishes. The buffet line itself wasn't very large, smaller than anticipated. The standouts for me were the samosas, chicken tikka masala, and goat curry. The goat curry was almost like a very tender beef pot roast. Unfortunately I think the tandoori chicken suffered from being on a hot buffet line because it was extremely overcooked and almost inedible, though you could taste the flavors. It was a bit of a shame. There was also an eggplant and potatoes dish that was extremely tasty.
Unfortunately I got full quicker than I wanted to, and one plate for me was enough. Though I wanted to go back for seconds of the tikka masala.
Service was efficient, with several of the guys always pitching in to refill waters and take away used plates. Don't know if dinner time is different, but at lunch the employees seem to not wear any uniform and just wear casual clothing. Which there's nothing at all wrong with, but at times it was hard to tell who was an employee and who was a customer.
Mount Everest doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is some tasty food to be found.
