| - I think for $35/person (I paid $69 and change for two people) you can probably do better. About half the foods I tried had some flaw: oversalted chicken bulgogi, tragically bland mac and cheese, tough roast duck, mediocre prime rib, very salty crab legs... I especially liked the General Tso's tofu, the tomato and fresh mozzarella salad, the pizza, the Chinese roast pork, the grilled pork belly, the clams with garlic butter, and most of the desserts. Service was cheerful and she brought us plenty of drinks. The coffee was pretty good, too. I don't remember disliking anything when I ate here several years ago. I remember leaving impressed, especially with the gelato, and feeling like I had gotten my money's worth. This time I felt like I would have been just as happy at a cheaper buffet. I almost wish I'd spent the extra ~$32 it would have cost us to go to Bacchanal. They were out of sushi rolls during the entire meal, and I think the dessert selection used to be much bigger. Photos show the gelato with fancy garnishes, that was not the case tonight. And does anyone else remember this refrigerated case in the dessert bar being filled with cold desserts instead of fake display food?
