Finally I found a Good and authentic Southern Indian Cuisine in Pittsburgh ( after Udpi ) for non vegetarian food. I have tried TAMARIND at Cranberry ( 2/10) and Greentree ( 3/10) . The food is never consistent and tasted awful. But at MINT .. Food was fresh and delicious and service was great . The owner took good care of us and were very helpful in explaining the curries which were new to me. Taj Mahal owner lady is also very helpful . I miss this service at Tamarind and India Garden as the waiters are only good to take orders and bring food to table. The owners at Indian Garden and Tamarind don't even talk to American Customers . Mint is a bit far for me , but for good food, wont mind travelling . I tried Pickle chicken and Cauliflower ( Indo Chinese appetizer ) . My wife as always ordered Chicken Tikki Masala and she said its THE BEST in Pittsburgh with fresh cream and Tomato sauce and spices. The chicken was well marinated in spices and could feel the spice in every bite. Tamarind and Indian Garden just bake the chicken in oven with no spice .. feel like eating boiled and tasteless chicken. we need another Mint in Cranberry area as Tamarind is only there to fill Tummy with no taste .
