  • Double smoked bacon... need I say more? Well, yah, I guess I should. I was in the area and stopped in due to all the smashing reviews here. Glad I did! Nice little family owned shop with friendly service. I wasn't expecting this place to be so small, but they do have some great offerings. Although I forgot to get kielbasa, which was the whole reason I stopped, I got a bunch of other yummy meat products. The jalapeno and cheddar bratwurst were great. I never even got to heating them up. I ate them cold for I couldn't wait ;) The double-smoked bacon was excellent. Real nice pronounced smoke flavor. The pate was not only a real bargain at $4, it was excellent and I ate it all in 2 days ;) The only disappointment was the double-smoked smokies. I didn't care for the flavor or texture. They just tasted salty to me, not smoky or even meaty. The fine texture was kind of strange to me. I definitely prefer a coarser grind. These guys went into the disposal unfortunately. Despite my smokie aversion, I will definitely be visiting again.
