  • Attention all potential/future home renters in the Las Vegas area: Beware of The Lamonte Group @ Costello Realty Management! Upon moving, they will get only estimates on painting the interior/carpet cleaning etc. and keep your ENTIRE deposit then attempt to lead you to believe they are the ones doing you a favor!! Estimates were completely overpriced and they were late on providing explanation as to why we weren't getting the deposit back, not to mention they charged some "handyman" $150 to remove some chalk off of a few of the bricks on the outside walls. Additionally, anytime we needed repair, they would send an unskilled family member to come do the job, which half the time, she couldn't even do correctly (ie. putting up pigeon spikes only to have the birds nesting on them a week later). The house was filthy upon moving in yet I didn't take it off the rent. I've learned my lesson: Document everything upon moving in and moving out and probably get estimates or provide invoices for cleaning costs on carpet and paint. At least I feel better sharing the truth about the way they do business and reading other reviews knowing I'm not alone.
