  • This is the complaint I e mailed to Jacksons. "Subject: Dissatisfaction/Anger Comments: Rather than go through the entire episode I will stick to the portions which left me dissatisfied and angry. Told Tyrone I wanted basic car wash. I stopped listening after telling him what I wanted. He continued to speak and somewhere in there he must have asked me if I wanted the VIP. He says I said yes. He did ask me if I wanted a scent and I said no. However, I did not find out about the VIP until I was checking out and was told my wash would cost $24.99. Went back out to speak to Tyrone where he informed me I had consented to a VIP. When I asked him why the $24.99 price he told me it was due to a minimum wage initiative which had recently passed in the Valley explaining workers had received raises taking them to $10 an hour. I told him I thought that rationale was bs as a $2/hr increase in wages hardly should result in a $5 per car wash increase. Went out front to watch the end of my car wash. When I was called I asked about the difference between a regular car wash and the VIP. I was told it was a treatment of the interior but that I had asked not to have the interior treated as Tyrone had noted on the window. I gave a profane response. I told them I did want it since it is the only difference between my $25 wash and a regular carwash. And when I ask what they are making per hour they inform me they are still making $8 per hour. The only ones who got an increase were the folks who vacuum out front. Back to Tyrone who told me he put no scent on the window. I told him I found it hard to believe that the folks out front had misread what he wrote. When I confronted him about the $10 per hour statement with some profanity included he told me to get out of his face. Jonathan, a manager, comes up and walks me away explaining the minimum wage increase is not the reason for the increase in the cost of a carwash. What started out as a routine attempt to get a carwash ended with more bs then I have encountered in a while. And now I feel like a ping pong ball who has just been retired from the table." And his is the 'response' I got. "Hi Alan, The upgraded service you purchased not only included the "fresh scent" that you opted out of, it also included the following options that the "basic" full service does not: -tire dressing -clear coat shine -tire and wheel cleaner -rain x complete surface protectant -premium interior and exterior dressing -triple foam conditioner You can also visit http://jacksonswash.com/services to see a full breakdown of the washes before your next visit. Please let us know if you have any further questions and thank you for choosing Jacksons Car Wash" Talk about misconstruing or ignoring a complaint. And to add insult to injury I later discovered they did not vacuum my trunk. How they stay in business is beyond me.
