| - We came to this establishment for their happy hour. It was from 5 to 9 PM... and then they have reverse happy hour from 9 to close... but only until August 22nd.
My lady and I each had beers: she had Kirin light, I had Kirin as well as sake. The taste was the usual to be expected from any other establishments. I have remarked though that I am always satisfied by the taste of Japanese beers: I would say easy to drink yet with a bit more flavor than our run of the mill American beers (Bud, Miller, Coors).
We enjoyed edemame, mussels and clams, as well as beef pot stickers. The edemame could have been a bit more salty, otherwise tasted fresh and flavorfull. The seafood was excellent and the sauce that it was prepared with added an extra level of tasty sweet and salty/spicy flavor to which I would say this appetizer is a must try. The pot stickers were cooked well: they did not seem like they were made of paper, amd had a bit of crispiness to them.
For our entrée we enjoyed the white castle roll, a rainbow roll, and a playgirl rool. Also had salmon sashimi. All of the sushi tasted fresh and had a good and clean presentation. The sashimi was given to use with an extra green sauce that was high on the spicy scale, yet went away quite fast: it was not unpleasant. The salmon, again, was fresh tasting.
The white castle roll is a definite recommendation: it is good! A bit of crunchy along with some good flavor.
The playgirl roll was chosen for my lady as it has avocado on top as well as albacore. It was very good.
Rainbow roll was also good: a generic roll with many sashimi flavors on top.
The dining room was clean with plenty of space without feeling cranoed. Our waitress was attentive.
