I just finished an arm piece that has been worked on all this summer and it's fantastic:) This one was a half sleeve that needed extra sessions. I adored the outline and the drawing but ran into some speed bumps when the first color session finished.
I had a hard time describing what a wanted (or making up my mind). Therefore, there was some miscommunication and I ended up feeling unsure about the look of a portion of the colors. When I came in to finish the tattoo, I was slightly apprehensive about if it could be changed. Apryl tried to explain to me what could and couldn't be done to it. I felt a little let down about one aspect but I knew I should have had a clearer idea of the colors I wanted. So we decided to focus on getting the remaining colors correct, then see what could be adjusted at the end.
Apryl and I talked through every detail as she worked; She put a lot of work into making sure she had it right. She showed me the color swatches on small areas, looked at pictures I liked, asked me multiple times to make sure I liked it, let me check the design in the mirror, and even guessed correctly at what changes I would probably want.
I could tell she was trying to really turn the piece into what I had envisioned (or decided on). I really appreciated how much she wanted to please her customer. I did feel she cared that I had a tattoo I would be happy with and I started to feel better pretty soon after we started. It's wonderful that despite my initial nervousness, my artist was able to turn everything around through careful discussion.
In the end, she was able to add the color that I had wanted in a unique way. She did it so successfully that I completely love the final product! She is extremely talented at not only her art, but at pleasing the customer. I have no complaints and the effort Apryl put in to make sure I got what I wanted made my day! ****Thank you!!*****
