| - I just love reading the negative reviews cause I'm pretty sure that there's another side to the stories. In my experience, I wonder why anyone would go anywhere else for tires? I've had much experience with them, but here's my today experience. I suddenly realized that there was a slow leak in one of the tires on my wife's car. Not a huge deal except for the fact that my daughter was going to be driving the car for the next couple of weeks, with very little opportunity to get the tire repaired...so I gotta get it done, now. It's Saturday and I know that most shops will be busy, and since another national brand tire store is very close to me, I decided to call them first. Long story short, not a chance in he** of getting it in today, even if I waited in line. So I did what I should have done in the first place and called Discount. "Sure, bring it in. We're pretty busy but if you can wait about an hour or so we'll get it taken care of, no problem." Now that's what I call service! I bring it in and they apologize, telling me that they've gotten even busier, but if I don't mind waiting, they'll make sure it gets taken care of. About two hours later I've got a new valve stem (the cause of the slow leak) and my tires have been rotated. OK, I'm prepared to pay...but there's no charge.
As an aside, while I was there I heard a couple of "disgruntled" customers complaining...probably similar to the ones who leave one star ratings. I listened to the conversations, and in each case (there were two that I heard) the sales reps were polite and understanding, even under unreasonable assault. In these two cases, both customers were absolutely unreasonable...OK for me to say because I don't work there, but in each case the service reps treated them with respect.
