  • Charlotte Douglas is an okay airport for now, I have never really had a problem with the airport itself. Over the years I've seen it grow, and it is currently in the middle of a big renovation . The main concourse ( I believe this is the area you reach immediately after going through security) has changed rapidly since I flew out of Charlotte in October 2018. Now they have Chik-fil-a, Cinnabon, Papa Johns and other restaurants, I do not recall seeing before. These restaurants face the long row of white rocking chairs. Between the chairs and eateries are some small kiosks ( The Body Shop, Baggalinni, etc). Above this area is another seating area, conference room, and access to USO, that I also do not recall seeing before. This is an airport to keep an eye on, I'm sure the finished renovation will be beautiful and include more tech-friendly gates. Right now, there are charging stations , but I love the airports that have outlets in every gate seat.
