  • It's taken me a long time to write this review because I didn't want to be too harsh but I would hate for anyone to go through what I did so here it goes: I got a Groupon for a full highlight, cut, and a conditioning treatment. Made an appointment to get this done ONE week before my wedding mind you (yeah I get I probably shouldn't have used Groupon for wedding hair prep but still). When I got there, she informed me that I would be charged extra due to the length of my hair. She was super sweet, but a bit kooky and talked about her life the ENTIRE TIME. She did the highlight and the conditioning treatment, and then the fastest hair cut of my life. She literally didn't even ask me where I parted my hair. Didn't add layers, nothing. After she dried my hair and sent me on my way, I went home and started taking a deeper look at my color. It was awful! It still looked like I had an inch of regrowth, especially in the area framing my face. I immediately texted her pictures and asked if she would please add more highlights around my face and she gladly agreed. So I went back in for another appointment to have her add more color, and all she did was highlight the area right in the center of my head so when I pulled my hair back, it looked like I had a big blonde strip like a Mohawk. On top of this, it seemed like my hair got burned from the color or something. There were orange patches and splotches. So I left that appointment and immediately called an Aveda salon for a color consultation due to the fact that I was freaking out and now my wedding was in 5 days. I had to pay for them to completely redo all my highlights and add a toner to even out how terrible the color was from Carolyn. I got the courage to ask her for a refund and she argued with me that there was a no refund policy and that she wanted me to come back in and she would fix my hair. There was not a chance in hell I was going back a THIRD time. She finally agreed to give me a refund, but I still to this day have not seen the transaction reversed in my account. Very nice lady, but I would never recommend someone going to get their hair done by her.
