  • This is the best afternoon tea I've had in town (Much better than the tea at The Biltmore)! You feel pampered the moment you get seated - live piano playing right next to us, gorgeous view of the trees and mountains outside, and elegant tableware in front of you. The waiter brings in three courses (finger sandwiches, scones, and tea pastries) separately on plates, and he/she will place them on your plate. All finger sandwiches were amazing - the bread was moist and the fillings had their own characters. I loved the one with asparagus, garlic herb mousse and aged Parma ham. The freshness of asparagus was balanced with the creaminess of the mousse, adding on top the rich flavor from the Parma ham. And you can feel different layers and nuances in flavor in one bite. Ok, the highlight was the scones (as always). I have to say that the scones didn't fail me this time. They were not too sweet, very soft and moist inside, with the golden color outside. The strawberry preserves were super natural that you could see the whole strawberry inside. And they go really well with the buttery scones by adding a bit acidity to the palette. Yum! By the time we got to the pastry course, we were already so full. Pastries were all really good. The coffee opera cake, fruit tart, and chocolate dipped strawberries were outstanding. Overall, we had a great experience here. Will definitely come back for the great food and ambiance.
