| - I LOVE the wings here, unfortunately, I don't love the pricing structure and enforcement of it.
I had first visited a few years back when searching for a great wing restaurant (ECW has some delicious and interesting flavours but doesn't always deliver on quality and doesn't hit the basic Buffalo flavour too well) in the Charlotte area. I entered the establishment on a crowded weekend night, and saw that it was full, so I approached the hostess. I told her that I wanted place an order for two 10 pieces to go and she offered that the 25 wing order that was cheaper than two-ten pieces.
I took her up on the offer and in the meantime decided to eat my wings there (minimal service, which was to be expected on a carry-out changed dine-in).
All was well said and done.
I have ordered take-out on several other occasions and everything has been great.
This past Sunday I had promised to take my Mom to experience her best "Buffalo Wings" experience yet; Stateside outside of Buffalo. We arrived, navigated the difficult and misleading parking lot, and walked in, to be greeted by the typical [upfront] friendly service and seated within minutes.
We were quickly seated but then after 10 minutes, several employees started to look concerned and started asking if our drink order had been taken yet (it hadn't), and going off to find other employees to rectify it.
Finally someone offered to take our drink order at the outside patio (a water and an unsweet tea) and said that if she had to, she could take our food order.
I was introducing my Mother to the "deliciousness of the wings from Lebowskis" as I had learned to love them which meant I needed a 25 wing order to fulfill the duty of my eating them along with my Mom (we ended up eating 7/7 of a 10/10 order).
She loved them but the fact that a wing restaurant can't cater to special wing orders (such as the 25 wings for $20 for a middle aged lady and her son) speaks volumes about the mindset of the owner.
i started this review as five-stars, briefly dropped it to four, and then got angry about how the establishment doesn't exercise discretion amongst its patrons (aka a Mom and Son couple is different than 12 frat 'bros' when ordering wings)...
Discretion is key and it lacks here, but the food is delicious...
