I have shopped at this store since it opened years ago. The first several years it was great. I always highly recommend restaurant owners to shop here. Managers were always friendly and helpful. Staff were helpful for the most part. Seemed to be run very professionally. A few years after opening the management turnover was frequent. They had pictures of the entire management staff pictures and rank on a sign on the wall. I started joking that it was now the employee of the month board because that is about as long as they lasted. One month or two at best. About a year later you could see where the sign was ripped from the wall and the bare torn drywall where it once was. Even through all of this the store sales must have been strong. They doubled the size of the parking lot doubled As a frequent shopper (at least two cargo vans per week minimum) I would run into other regular shoppers. Over the years these other shoppers are also shopping elsewhere. I hardly ever see anybody twice in the store. Even the associates. Over the past year as the pile of scrapped shopping carts piled between the side of the building and the retaining wall. There are never any carts available. If you want one you have to wait for one to become available or retrieve one from the parking lot. Cart cages probably would have prevented a lot of the carts from becoming damaged or ruined and maybe the staff sitting on the pile of scrapped carts who are always smoking, cussing about the management or just gossiping while customers are loading their products listening to all of it.....maybe they could be offering to help people load their orders into vehicles like they use to or go out and retrieve the carts in the parking lots. Surely the corporate office can see the decline in sales of this location. Is it too far away from corporate for them to care. They need to close the location and gut it. Replace the management and staff and start back at square one. There was a cancer that I saw start a few years ago and it now runs thick and deep at this location. At this point it is terminal. They need to make a swift change or this location will die soon It's a shame to see something that was so great fall flat on its face. Just today I knew exactly the items I needed. I was able to gather items from the store going to several different areas in less than 10 minutes. It took me an additional 40 minutes to check out. I was the second person in line. The person in front of me had less than 20 items. Cashiers seem unable to count the cart to verify items they rung up. Cashier at the line next to me as well as another on the other side of me waited around 10 minutes for a manager to come out for needed voids. Managers and supervisors were just sitting in the office with a deaf ear to the calls for help. Finally I was happy to announce Ludlum that "two cashiers need voids and they have been waiting 10 minutes.....where the hell is the management team in this place?" And then one came from
The office to finally help. I don't know if the management and staff realize that time is a precious commodity and as restaurant owners , management and staff. TIME IS MONEY. You can waste Restaurant Depot's time, money and resources but I will not give you the privilege of wasting mine. I only go to the location once a month now hoping to see thing change for the better but it seems like you are sliding deeper into peril
