Overall experience was very good, but the fallout from the poor economy, remote location, and low season reduced the rating. I like the fact that many of the Ritz Carlton properties I've visited are quiet and remote, but this development was pretty dead.
Pros
- Room was very nice - new, clean, and tastefully decorated
- Service was professional and attentive
- Great place to relax, especially for kids - quiet atmosphere and no meat-market pool scene
Cons
- The in-house restaurant was closed 2 of the 5 days we were there
- The 2 golf courses on the development were closed (bankrupt)
- The spa only offered classes (yoga etc.) on the weekends
- The casino in the development was dead
