  • I was looking for a Persian rug to furnish my office. I shopped around - as one does - and discovered a few shops in Calgary. Not knowing anything about rugs I asked a lot of questions. It did not take long to learn that there are a lot of fake "50% discount ~ Going out of business sale" *scams*. I discovered Boft in Inglewood in 2011. No pressure and no slippery sales talk. Ali knows and loves rugs and he happily recited everything I wanted to know about their history, the people that worked on them, and the meanings of their symbols. Ali's enthusiasm is contagious and his honesty is refreshing. I have since returned many times and have filled my home with amazing rugs. Wether you are a collector or just looking to buy a piece of art - Boft in Inglewood is THE Persian rug shop to visit if you are even thinking of buying one.
